Commercial Design - The Spa at The Mandarin Oriental, Miami

My goal for The Spa at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel was to create an oasis of maximum comfort, peace, and serenity in the middle of busy downtown Miami.

By working closely with the spa manager’s requests, I was able to achieve this by re-decorating and re-upholstering all of the spa beds, lounge chairs, curtains, and ceiling panels. I also added accessories and furniture with an oriental flair to create an ambiance of comfort and of relaxation. Finally, I incorporated soft touches of color, and the butterfly as a theme on the wall and bed panels and kimonos to symbolize transformation, change and spiritual rebirth.
